What Are The Best Fat Burners? Which Fat Burners Work?

What are the best fat burners? What supplements do you like and recommend? Is there any fat burner product actually worth taking?

These are questions I get a lot.

While many of you have written to me to say how much you appreciate my reviews, I see the frustration in those of you who are desperately looking for a quality fat burner to help make your weight loss journey a little easier... and can't find one. And yet, so far I have stayed away from making emphatic recommendations for ephedra-free fat burner (in fact, there's only one I really recommend, and I'll explain why a little later).

Why?

Well, it's not that I feel that they are all useless. They aren't -- many are well formulated quality products that can have a place in a properly constructed diet and weight loss program. Unfortunately, there are very few supplement manufacturers that don't hype their products to the "max", making exaggerated claims and ridiculous promises about their performance (one of the things I found most annoying about this industry).

On a purely ethical basis, I don't like to make recommendations for products that are advertised in a misleading, and in my opinion, unethical manner.

The second reason I don't want to heartily endorse any product is this..

Many of you who write me with questions like "what is the best fat burner", usually preface the question with something like this..."I have to lose 5 pounds fat (or 10, or 20, or 50). What's the best fat burner for this?"

The problem is, I can't recommend a product for you because there isn't such a product in existence.

And I can't recommend a product for you without telling you what you don't want to hear. I'm not here to take advantage of you or squeeze your wallet or purse dry -- there are plenty of other people on the Net that will do that.

So if I make a product recommendation without telling you all the facts first, you'll have wasted your money, you'll be angry with me, and my credibility will be shot. With that out of the way, let's talk about a couple of good fat burners, and what you should have straightened away before you begin supplementing with a fat burner...

1) Determine your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate, or the number of calories your body requires to sustain itself over the course of a day):

Weight loss is really nothing more complicated than monitoring calorie balance. If you eat more calories than you use in a day, you will gain weight. If you eat fewer calories than you use in a day, you will lose weight. Simple, right? However, most people don't have any idea...

a) how many calories they actually require in a day

b) the caloric value of the food they are eating, and the number of calories they are actually consuming in a 24-hour period.

A 150 lb. women who lives a sedentary lifestyle might be surprised to learn that a fast food lunch of a Big Mac, large fries, and large coke will provide her with more than 3/4 of her daily required calories...... in one sitting.

The point of all this is...The best of the best ephedra free fat burners might increase your metabolism to the point where you burn an extra couple hundred of calories a day. However, if you continue to consume significantly more calories than you require, it will certainly appear that the fat burner is doing nothing.

2) Start eating properly and begin an exercise program:

Sorry, but it's just gotta be done. There's no better way to burn off additional calories and elevate metabolism. Many of the folks looking for a great fat burner are looking for some way to circumvent this reality.

The unfortunate truth is that there is no product in existence that let's you "eat what you want and still lose weight". You don't have to believe me, of course. There are plenty of manufacturers who will sell you this myth. But you'll be back at square one soon enough, a little more discouraged and with a little less money.

3) Acquire a little dieting knowledge: A wise man once said "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing". In this case, learning about the ins and outs of dieting and how your body really works is not dangerous for you, but dangerous for those people who manufacture products designed to take advantage of you. Once you know how things really are, you won't fall victim to ridiculous claims, recognizing them immediately for what they are. Although this isn't compulsory, the efforts you make here will pay you back with great dividends. I recommend any of the following...
